Final Still Life

    I think your hand is too heavy in lighting this. The glare on the orange, the indulgent inclusion of the shadow on the apple, all sort of say *I'm a photography student*

    I would suggest playing around with the idea of still life more, making things more abstract, or simply looking to give it a more professional look.

    But what is solid is the framing, and hell you're blogging as a first year, good shit.

    Thanks for the critique, I'll play around with it again when I have free time and I feel up for shooting fruit again. What do you mean by "the indulgent inclusion of the shadow on the apple?" The apple is silhouetted, unless you're talking about the reflection.
